- Open Settings → Install official packages — SQLmig displays a catalog based on your platform.
- Filter if needed — You can filter by product (MySQL, MariaDB, or MySQL Shell) and version.
- Select the needed versions — Prioritize the series that corresponds to the servers you have configured.
- Click “Install selected versions” — Follow the progress until completion.
- Check “Installed client packages” — The available clients appear in the list of installed packages.
When you register a server and no suitable client is available, SQLmig can also offer to install the recommended package directly, then resume the registration.
